This plant is one of the late summer plants that creates a second wildflower season. It is notable for the strong tar-like odor from the sticky sap that rubs off on legs and shoes. Look for rosin weed in open grasslands in late summer and fall. The 1/2"-wide flower stands on a 1-2' stalk in the dried grass.
