This plant is also called star lily. It resembles and is related to the death camas (Z. venenosus) which has been found along Kelly Cabin canyon. The large white flower stalks are often 1 1/2' tall.
The best places to find Fremont's zigadene is under the manzanitas on the trail to China Hole and the east side of Middle Ridge.
