Achilles used a species of this plant to heal the wounds of his warriors. Other species have been used for colds, fevers, kidney problems, and other ailments.

Common yarrow is often found in the open grassland along the road to Manzanita Point. Look for a plant with finely divided leaves about 4-6" long and flower stalks 6-10" long.
