This is one of the early blooming plants in the park. In wet years it forms a red carpet under the Manzanitas. The 1-3" flower stands on a 1-2" stalk. Indian warrior is a root parasite.

The best places to see Indian Warrior are along Middle Ridge, at Manzanita Point and along the road to Frog Lake.
