Barry Breckling wrote the first text for the photos that have been the wildflower book at Coe for many years. Dennis Pinion and Barbara Radd added many more text pages with more copies of my slides.

Lee Dittmann has helped me correct my flights of fancy on names and species and any remaining errors are the result of not letting him correct me as often as needed.

Judy Mason, Judy Breckling and Lee Sims have provided many years of help and encouragement.

Alan Whittemore was an invaluable source for the epithets, or scientific name origins.

Winslow and Ann Briggs undertook the job of carefully reading the text to correct my many errors, especially the technical aspects of plant identification. With their help and patience this work has become not only much more technically correct but also with much improved grammar and spelling.
